The Journey.

Hi, I’m Jamie, an Essex/Suffolk border based Photographer.

It all started in 2009, sitting on the edge of a lake on a glorious summers dawn. A swan glided through the mist, silhouetted by the rising sun, with the reflections shimmering on the water giving an almost dreamy effect. I grabbed my phone and snapped the image in front of me. That picture made the front cover of a fishing magazine. From that very moment I realised I had an eye for photography, lighting and composition, and a talent for freezing a moment in time that could later tell a story or provoke an emotion.

Even in the early days of Instagram my iPhone photos did well and my personal account soon started to grow, and soon enough I had interest from companies wanting to gift me items in return for some pictures on my feed. I decided to invest a little money in a second hand DSLR camera and set about learning how to get the best from it and how to showcase the products I had received as a gifts for the brands behind them. Quickly I realised the vital importance of social media, and how the right posts/photos can be fundamental in driving sales, expanding audiences and generating leads.

Fast forward to 2019, several camera upgrades and thousands of images later, my passion has led me to be a photographer for some of the biggest global brands in field sports. I have shot in various locations from the Julian Alps of Slovenia to the rolling hills of the Lake District. Shooting media campaigns for clothing, products and lifestyle, I have said yes to everything!

So to the present day, and with over ten years of photography experience, I have finally decided to make it my living. Everyday brings fresh ideas and new opportunities, and I always think back to the first image I captured of the swan in the mist. That feeling of excitement and rush of adrenaline as I recorded that beautiful moment in time, which is how I strive to feel about every image I capture for you.
